Username Claim Policy

Alamna is committed to protecting usernames associated with government entities, companies, trademarks, and other well-known organizations. This policy aims to reduce impersonation and protect users from accounts that may falsely suggest they represent an official entity. For this purpose, Alamna has reserved a selection of usernames as a preventive measure since its establishment. Eligible organizations and their authorized representatives may claim these reserved usernames in accordance with the terms outlined in this policy. 1. What Is a Reserved Username? A reserved username is a name that Alamna has protected in advance to prevent registration by unauthorized users. It may be associated with a government entity, company, trademark, platform, or well-known service. Reserving a username on Alamna does not mean that the platform owns the associated trademark or business name, nor does it constitute proof of ownership by any organization. The reservation is intended to protect the username temporarily until the entity entitled to use it has been verified. Certain usernames are also reserved for Alamna's system, pages, and services. These usernames are not available for registration or claims by users. 2. Who Can Claim a Reserved Username? The organization that owns the name or trademark, or its authorized representative, may submit a request to claim a reserved username on Alamna. This includes companies, businesses, trademarks, government entities, organizations, and other entities that can demonstrate a legitimate connection to the requested name. Submitting a claim does not guarantee automatic approval or assignment of the username. All requests are subject to review and verification before a decision is made. 3. How to Submit a Username Claim To keep the process simple, a claim begins with a short request submitted by the organization’s owner or authorized representative, including the following basic information: * The requested username. * The name of the organization or trademark. * The applicant’s name and contact information. * A link to the organization’s official website or official social media account, if available. After submission, Alamna's administration will review the request and contact the applicant if further verification is required. Applicants are not required to upload all supporting documents when submitting their initial request. If the information provided is insufficient to establish eligibility, Alamna may request additional documentation depending on the nature of the organization. 4. Verification of the Rightful Organization Additional verification requirements may include, where necessary: * Documentation demonstrating trademark ownership or the connection between the requested name and the organization. * An official letter or authorization confirming the applicant’s authority to represent the organization. * Proof of the applicant’s identity and role, where necessary to verify their authorization. Alamna may also contact the organization through its official website or established communication channels to verify the request. Verification information and supporting documents will be used to review the claim and handled in accordance with Alamna's Privacy Policy. 5. What Happens After a Claim Is Approved? If Alamna confirms that an organization is entitled to use a reserved username, the platform may authorize its use and associate it with the organization’s approved account or business profile. The username will be assigned to the organization that has successfully completed the verification requirements, subject to the technical procedures available on Alamna. If the verification requirements are not completed, the username will remain reserved until they are fulfilled or Alamna's administration makes a decision regarding the reservation. 6. Protection of Usernames Already Registered by Members Claims under this policy are limited to usernames that Alamna reserved in advance and that have not been assigned to an existing account. If a username was legitimately registered and used by an Alamna member before it was reserved, a claim from a company, trademark owner, or any other organization does not entitle that organization to obtain the username or force the member to change it. Neither Alamna nor any other person may take away, change, or transfer a member’s primary username to another account solely because an organization claims ownership of the corresponding name or trademark. The primary username remains associated with the member’s account and will not be transferred to another entity solely on the basis of a username claim. This does not prevent Alamna from addressing impersonation or other violations in accordance with its policies or complying with binding legal obligations. New username reservations do not apply retroactively to usernames that were previously registered legitimately. 7. Similar Usernames and Unofficial Accounts Usernames may be similar to one another, and individuals or businesses may maintain accounts with names resembling those of well-known trademarks or organizations. Similarity alone does not establish that an account is impersonating an organization or that the organization is entitled to obtain the username registered to that account. Alamna reviews suspected impersonation cases separately, taking into consideration the account’s information, how it is used, and the supporting evidence provided. A username claim alone is not sufficient grounds to take a username away from an existing member. 8. Removal of Preventive Username Reservations Alamna may remove a username reservation if protection is no longer necessary, if the reservation is found to be unrelated to the organization associated with it, or if Alamna decides to make the username available in accordance with its platform rules. Removing a reservation requires an administrative decision and does not automatically assign the username to another organization. 9. Submitting a Claim and Contacting Alamna If you represent a government entity, company, or trademark owner and wish to claim a protected username on Alamna, you can submit your request through the “Claim a Username ” option in the “Develop Alamna” system. Search for the desired username and upload the documents proving your right to claim it. The Alamna administration will review your request and supporting documents. You can track the status of your request and view the administration’s responses through your personal account. Please provide the requested username, the organization’s name, and official contact information so that Alamna's administration can review your request and guide you through the next steps. Alamna reserves the right to review username claims and verify applicants’ eligibility in order to protect organizational identities and the rights of registered members, in accordance with the platform’s policies and applicable laws and regulations.
